Understanding Your T-Purse

The Digital Wallet
of Abu Dhabi

The T-Purse (Transport Purse) functions as your pay-as-you-go credit foundation. Unlike seasonal passes which provide time-bound access, your T-Purse balance remains active as long as the card is within its five-year lifecycle.

When performing a hafilat card recharge through digital channels, you are essentially loading these universal credits. They are valid across all transport zones in the Emirate, including the high-frequency networks in Al Ain and the Western Region.

It is important to note that credit added via the hafilat online recharge gateway will show as 'Pending' in your card history until you present your card at a physical validator machine on a bus. The sync is automatic upon your first boarding transaction.

"ONLINE RECHARGING TRANSFORMED THE COMMUTER EXPERIENCE FROM A QUEUE-BASED SYSTEM TO AN INSTANT ARCHITECTURAL INTERFACE, CONNECTING SEAMLESS DIGITAL PAYMENTS TO THE PHYSICAL PULSE OF THE CITY."
